Production Control Clerk performs clerical tasks that support production control and ensure the efficient flow of materials required by production schedules. Monitors the inventory of parts, components, and raw materials and coordinates ordering, invoicing, and scheduling with vendors. Being a Production Control Clerk tracks status of customer orders and production schedules to identify issues or delays and coordinates with stakeholders to expedite orders and resolve problems. Inputs and maintains production data in ERP, MRP, or other databases. Additionally, Production Control Clerk requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Control Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Mix of Data Entry and Supply Chain
Production control department is slumped
Must be good with excel(advanced)
Will train them to do some export paperwork (copy, paste, modify)
Will be a little bit of purchasing (calling customers for POs, dates)
Eventually place POs as well
A lot of bar code work (confirming and updating purchase prices, order confirmations, calling vendors to update pricing / delivery dates)
Manufacturing experience is a plus
AS 400 is the system they currently use
