Production Control Clerk performs clerical tasks that support production control and ensure the efficient flow of materials required by production schedules. Monitors the inventory of parts, components, and raw materials and coordinates ordering, invoicing, and scheduling with vendors. Being a Production Control Clerk tracks status of customer orders and production schedules to identify issues or delays and coordinates with stakeholders to expedite orders and resolve problems. Inputs and maintains production data in ERP, MRP, or other databases. Additionally, Production Control Clerk requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Control Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Maintains schedules for material requirements and availability for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products to support production control.
Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules
Performs clerical tasks in the production control function.
Sorts, posts, and files inventory records and production schedules.
Estimates and records production rates
prepares shop orders and reviews stock records to determine stock status against project requirements.
Requirements:.
minimum of 2-4 years of experience in this kind of role
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong Excel/Microsoft Office Skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
