Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Accounting Clerk to join our team. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, including payroll management, account reconciliation, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong mathematical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:
- Process and manage payroll using Paychex software
- Perform account reconciliation and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Assist with month-end closing procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as requested
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations

Experience:
- Proven experience in payroll management and account reconciliation
- Strong knowledge of governmental accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in debits, credits, and other basic accounting concepts
- Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to perform 10-key typing accurately
- Familiarity with accounting software systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
- Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
