Summary of Duties

The Production Assistant and Social Media Specialist is a resource for campus and ministry print and production needs. They offer support to the Communications Team and own the Bellingham campus social media presence and network social media strategy. This role exists to simplify and maintain complex workflows and systems, communicate with clarity and warmth to our ministries and campuses, train new hires, and be a liaison and producer of print requests.

Essential Functions

• Administrative 
  • Add and maintain Communications Team projects and tasks in the project management tool, including managing expectations, timelines and progress with other staff, sermon series, and Sunday production
  • Schedule team meetings and events; submit needed requests and reservations 
  • Process team receipts, purchase requests, and check requests
  • Monitor and update budgets, reporting updates to supervisor 
  • Execute regular website audits and manage priorities and workflow 
  • Other projects as assigned by supervisor
• Print & Media 
  • Manage supplies for the Communications Team and Production Room 
  • Manage and produce print orders 
  • Train and support all new hires on Production Room operation
  • Act as the Help Desk for the Production Room
  • Assist in the production of the quarterly CTK Life magazine
  • Craft mass email communications on digital platforms
• Video
  • Support videographer in scheduling, photo release forms, and contracts as needed 
• Social Media
  • Develop and execute a social media strategy for the Bellingham Campus and collaborate  with other campuses in the Network
  • Create original content (text, photo, video, etc.), collaborating with ministries and graphics
  • Manage posts and messages on social media and respond to followers

• Adobe InDesign (Adobe Creative Cloud apps — InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) 
• Adaptable to new tech and scalable project management software

Bonus experience: 

• Experienced with the Mac platform 
• Basic understanding of CMS or a website builder (WordPress or SquareSpace) 
• Basic experience with design tools (Canva or InDesign)
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe Suites
