Production Assistant jobs in Louisiana

We are currently seeking a Production Assistant to join our growing team in Covington, LA.  You will be responsible for general maintenance, service, and repairs throughout the facility.

In this role, you will:

• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the interior and exterior of the facility on a constant basis.
• Perform daily cleaning and sanitation activities throughout the facility.
• Perform routine building maintenance and repairs.
• Install and repair appliances and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of building exterior and surrounding property.
• Assist warehouse staff in loading and unloading trucks as needed.
• Prepare units to be shipped out (wipe downs and touch ups as needed).
• Deliver parts to our customers and technicians as needed.
• Assists production technicians to prepare enclosures for assembly as needed.
• May perform other duties as required by business needs.

Qualifications we are looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• High energy with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

• Ability to work well individually and as part of a team with diverse personalities. Tactful and mature.
• Strong customer service mentality.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read schematics, parts diagrams, and service manuals.

What you can expect as a Production Assistant:

• Regularly works around mechanical equipment and may be exposed to high noise levels at times.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crawl and climb ladders.
• Regularly required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to grasp hand tools and parts.
