Job Title: Graphic Designer

Job Summary:

The Graphic Designer is responsible for producing high-quality drawings, from conceptual to technical, for a variety of signage including interior, exterior & wayfinding. They will work with a variety of clients, some of whom have brand standards to others who are open to creativity and ideas. The designer will work closely with both sales and production to ensure the signage meets the customer expectations while also ensuring that the proposed design can be produced in an efficient and accurate manner. The designer is also responsible for creating production artwork for both internal and external production teams.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Design pieces for sign manufacturing & outsourced products, ranging from conceptual to technical designs
• Refine images, fonts and layouts as needed
• Manage a wide variety of projects at once, while working closely with internal teams
• Actively work together within the design team, helping other designers’ problem-solve as needed
• Work closely with Sales to ensure the design meets the customer expectations as well as budgets
• Work closely with Production & Install to ensure designs are efficient, accurate and using best practices
• Prepare high quality production ready artwork files
• Ensure the jobs with ADA items are designed to meet code
• Communicate timeline updates to internal stakeholders as needed
• Problem solve if errors arise at any point, from initial design to production

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
• Knowledgeable in CADTools, CorelDRAW, InDesign & Composer is a plus
• Knowledge of sign industry materials and manufacturing, including sign fabrication
• Ability to view designs through a production-based approach
• Strong organizational, analytical and math skills
• Strong graphic sensibilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Team oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to help others when needed
• Ability to remain flexible
• Capacity and willing to learn new skills and competencies

Education and Experience:

• College degree preferred
• 1 year(s) experience in the Sign Industry – Exterior Signage Experience is preferred

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
