Lead cross-functional project teams to complete product development projects and programs from planning through implementation. An appropriate candidate must be a flexible, self-directed, organized, dependable, proactive, and persistent project leader. He/she must effectively plan and manage projects, lead and coach project team members, solve problems, and make decisions with limited direction.
Key Duties:
Plan and execute projects and programs from concept and scoping to successful completion, including the launch of products in intended markets in order to ensure a complete development portfolio.
General Project Management (forming project teams, budgeting, assigning & tracking tasks, identifying & mitigating project risks, etc.)
Support to fellow project managers as needed to secure successful implementation of development portfolio.
Reporting to suitable steering group with regular cadence to provide transparent communication of project status and issues as well as implementation of actions given by said steering group.
Initiating and participating in continuous improvement of processes and development practices to further enhance capacity, predictability and quality.
Authority & Responsibilities:
Effectively organize and lead cross-functional project teams using project management and leadership skills. Using strong communication skills and attention to details, direct the activities of internal and external team members to meet project objectives.
Plan, monitor and coordinate project tasks, as well as maintain and update project plans and schedules.
Independently manage a diverse scope of projects and programs with limited supervision. Project types may include, but are not limited to, new product or technology introductions, enhancing product features & design to meet user or market needs, addressing quality issues, reducing costs, and ensuring continued compliance to applicable regulations.
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
PMP certification preferred
Knowledge/Skills Required:
Demonstrated ability to communicate and negotiate with a diverse group of cross-functional stakeholders in Marketing, R&D, QA, Regulatory, Sourcing, and Operations
Well-versed in Medical Device development
Strong communication skills and attention to details
Experience Required:
5 years of related work experience
3 years of project management experience
Experience with project management software and Microsoft Suite applications
