Quanex is looking for a Product Development Specialty Operator to join our team located in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

In this role, you will focus on manufacturing cabinet door samples for our customers. You will work with mechanical parts and machines in a dusty environment. Any hazardous chemical exposure is specifically defined on accessible safety data sheets. Balancing, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, repetitive motions.

What’s attractive about this position?

• Shift: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Monday – Friday)
• Pay: $19.00 - $28.00 an hour, based on experience
• Position Location: St. Cloud, Minnesota

What Success Looks Like:

• Manufacture cabinet door samples independently
  • Sets-up, operates, and verifies work on assigned machine that meets customer specification, quality requirements, and production standards.
• Observes closely the operation of tools and machinery.
• Monitors product to ensure quality standards are being met.
• Assist with production when the need arises or samples are complete
  • Follows and documents process when completing samples.
  • Promotes continuous improvements on new products.
  • Helps develop manufacturing process on new products.

What You Bring:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
• At least 6 months of related machine operating experience in manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds
