Product Development Manager manages the staff, resources, and processes required to implement the vision and strategy for new product development and product lifecycle management of existing products. Incorporates research and concept development projects and capabilities with market analysis, industry intelligence, and customer monitoring to support product roadmaps and innovate new products, enhancements, and redesigns. Being a Product Development Manager coordinates with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure that new and existing products meet development targets and support the organization's financial goals. Develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives. Additionally, Product Development Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Product Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. This is a 40 hour per week, calendar year position at our CDS State Office in Augusta. Experience with data infrastructure and special education preferred. Travel is required.

Summary Description:
This position involves oversight of CDS’ Child Information Network Connection (CINC) data system, including acting as the primary contact to the data system vendor, supervision of a small data and quality assurance team, and the collection, aggregation/disaggregation, and analysis of data for the purposes of responding to stakeholder requests for information, completing state and federal reporting, and the identification technical assistance needs with regard to CINC usage, financial monitoring, and compliance with state and federal special education regulations, policies and performance indicators. This position provides support to that CDS State Leadership Team, CDS’ regional sites, and contracted providers. Statewide travel is required.
