Product Development Manager manages the staff, resources, and processes required to implement the vision and strategy for new product development and product lifecycle management of existing products. Incorporates research and concept development projects and capabilities with market analysis, industry intelligence, and customer monitoring to support product roadmaps and innovate new products, enhancements, and redesigns. Being a Product Development Manager coordinates with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure that new and existing products meet development targets and support the organization's financial goals. Develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives. Additionally, Product Development Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Product Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     Job Purpose

    As a Product Manager supporting the ICE Clearing Technology team, you will be responsible for defining the functionality of ICE's post-trade product and service offerings, principally in the futures and options markets. Serving as the primary liaison between stakeholders and a software-development team, you will lead and coordinate the translation of business needs into system requirements for large-scale development projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Communicate with stakeholders in non-technical terms to learn business workflows and needs
    • Translate business requirements into concise functional requirements that are actionable by the development team
    • Conduct discovery and feedback sessions to accelerate and enhance the quality of requirements
    • Reconcile conflicting requirements among disparate stakeholders
    • Apply pragmatic problem-solving techniques to optimize functionality and time to market
    • Work with stakeholders and project management to define product roadmaps
    • Adhere to ICE's SDLC process to ensure project scope and schedules are agreed to by the release team and stakeholders
    • Identify and prioritize solutions to production, system-usability and operational issues
    • Recognize and communicate the impact new systems and features have on existing systems
    • Demonstrate system features and train end users to adopt the tools developed by the team
    • Maintain system and end-user documentation, including release notes and guides
    • Query and compile data to support management and sales strategic analysis
    • Support the technical development and quality-assurance efforts

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree or comparable experience is required, preferably in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Computer Science
    • 7 years' software product development, business analysis, quality assurance, or related experience
    • Strong business-writing and excellent communication skills required
    • Trading, clearing or banking-industry experience strongly preferred
    • Competence in data analysis using SQL and Microsoft Office tools (particularly Excel)
    • Highly detail-oriented, with keen organizational skills and ability to multi-task
    • Able to work independently, in a fast-paced environment and within deadline
    • Commitment to customer service and on-time product delivery

    Schedule

    This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week.
