Establishes research and concept development projects and capabilities to innovate new products, product enhancements, and product redesign. Being a Product Development Director conducts market analysis and interacts with customers and prospects to identify new markets, articulate the value proposition, define requirements, and lead the development of a product roadmap. Oversees new product development and collaboration with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure that new and existing products support the organization's financial goals. Additionally, Product Development Director develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Product Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. About the position:
We're looking for a Director of New Product Development (NPD). The Director of New Product Development (NPD) Engineering is responsible for overall leadership, development, and delivery of high-quality products for Raymond material handling equipment. The selected individual will provide leadership in the areas of Automation, Energy products, Telematics products, as well as foundational lift truck development. This role manages and leads R&D and technical programs which result in new and/or improved products, increased output and/or reduced costs.
We are seeking a visionary leader with the right balance of creativity, initiative, and drive to move solutions quickly from concept to realization.
