Product Design Manager jobs in Norman, OK
Product Design Manager manages and coordinates design, development, and enhancement of new and existing products/product lines. Evaluates and ensures design feasibility and design optimization. Being a Product Design Manager ensures team meets project milestones and completes projects within established timeline. Evaluates issues, provides resolution, and communicates to management. Additionally, Product Design Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Product Design Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Product Design Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Principle Design is a Norman-based architectural design firm specializing in K-12 educational and government work. We are currently seeking a candidate with a minimum of 5 years of experience of architectural production and managing projects. The position requires proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Microsoft Office. Revit or rendering skills are a plus. An architectural license is preferred, but not a requirement.
Responsibilities include management duties and CAD production on various projects, coordination of engineered designs, assistance with schematic modeling and graphics for bond promotion efforts, and participation in construction administration duties. The candidate would be exposed to all aspects of the design process and the architectural profession. Principle Design offers a unique atmosphere that is relaxed, yet professional, and worth consideration.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
