    Job Summary: As the CPG and Toys Product Design and Development Manager, you will lead a team of designers and engineers to develop innovative and market-leading products. You will work closely with the VP of Sales to align product development with market trends and sales strategies, ensuring our products achieve commercial success. Your role will be pivotal in transforming creative ideas into tangible products that resonate with our target audiences.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the product design and development process for new CPG and toy products, from ideation through to manufacturing and market launch.
    • Collaborate with the marketing and sales departments to analyze market trends, consumer feedback, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for new products or product improvements.
    • Manage and mentor a team of product designers and engineers, fostering a creative and productive work environment.
    • Oversee the creation of prototypes and conduct product testing to ensure designs meet all necessary safety and quality standards.
    • Work closely with manufacturing partners to ensure products are produced efficiently, cost-effectively, and to quality specifications.
    • Liaise with the marketing team to develop effective launch strategies, packaging designs, and promotional materials.
    • Monitor product performance post-launch and make recommendations for product enhancements or discontinuation as necessary.
    • Manage budgets, timelines, and project resources effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within cost parameters.
    • Stay abreast of the latest trends in product design, materials, and technology within the CPG and toy industry.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field.
    • 5 years of experience in product design and development, specifically within the CPG and/or toy industry.
    • Proven track record of developing successful consumer products from concept to market launch.
    • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating a team.
    • Excellent project management abilities, with a knack for balancing creativity with practicality and efficiency.
    • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and technology.
    • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
    • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different departments and with external partners.
    • Proficiency in design software (e.g., CAD) and Microsoft Office Suite.
