Product Design Director manages and coordinates design, development, and enhancement of new and existing products/product lines. Evaluates and ensures design feasibility and design optimization. Being a Product Design Director assists in the determination of project milestones and timelines. Ensures team meets project milestones and completes projects within the established timeline. Additionally, Product Design Director evaluates issues, provides resolution, and communicates to management. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Product Design Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Product Design Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. About the role:
The Director of Product Design will be at the forefront of our product development efforts, leading our design team to create intuitive, engaging, consistent and visually compelling user experiences. This role requires a visionary leader who combines creative design skills with a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to drive innovation within a SaaS platform.
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic thinking, team leadership, and hands-on design expertise to guide the product design strategy from conception to launch.
