Product/Brand Management Manager, Sr. manages, develops, and implements marketing activities to maximize sales of an assigned brand. Analyzes brand performance, brand competitiveness, and product trends in the marketplace and develops marketing strategies for a brand. Being a Product/Brand Management Manager, Sr. reviews marketing metrics to determine the effectiveness and value of marketing strategies or campaigns. Leads the development, curation, and deployment of marketing content and identifies appropriate sales channels. Additionally, Product/Brand Management Manager, Sr. translates marketing initiatives into specific projects and actionable plans. Works with management and team leaders to identify and implement appropriate sales strategies or improve direction for current campaigns.      Job Summary

    The Engineering Manager will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of highly skilled engineering staff while ensuring that company objectives and goals are met.  This position requires knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, Test) and their interactions and interdependencies throughout the design and development process. Responsibilities include assisting in the assessment of design/development opportunities, selecting technical approach, resource management and task prioritization, and oversight design and development programs.  The Senior Systems Engineering element of this position will focus on requirement derivation, tracking, verification and validation as well as technical interface management.

     Duties and Responsibilities

    • Technical oversight of engineering projects and development programs
    • Assist VP of Engineering with engineering resource management: team building for various technical skillsets including Electrical engineers, Mechanical engineers, Firmware engineers, Test Development engineers, Engineering Program Managers and various support roles.
    • Leads System Engineering efforts: requirements management, system interface management, design team coordination and guidance
    • Review of design work and projects for technical accuracy, and overseeing design reviews
    • Facilitates communication among clients/customers and engineers, ensuring specifications, budgets, and deadlines are clearly communicated and understood.
    • Contribute to project success by meeting requirements on schedule and within budget
    • Assist Trust VPs with project/program planning, including specification of system application solutions, task prioritization, and risk mitigation
    • Support of Business Development (i.e. - Bid and Proposal) efforts
    • Support of Operations with released product issues, leading engineering sustainment

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new engineering staff
    • Monitors work progress and content of engineering team
    • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
    • Recommends promotion of engineering team members

     Position Requirements  

    • Minimum Qualifications:
      • BS degree in Engineering, MS degree preferred
      • 8 years of design and development experience
      • 8 years of technical management experience
    • Ability to lead a technical team in a multi-disciplined engineering development environment
    • Ability to create and promote a collaborative team environment
    • Successful experience in project management, including the design and development phases of product realization:
      • Requirement derivation, conceptual and detailed design, prototyping, integration and test, product qualification, transition into MFG, and product sustainment
    • Experience within a manufacturing organization; familiar with all aspects of operations
    • Familiarity in defining, optimizing, and adhering to engineering development processes (i.e. – AS9100 compliance)
    • Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and embedded systems design
    • Familiarity with engineering design tools (CAD and analytical)
    • Experience with closed-loop control of motor torque, speed, and position experience preferred
    • Control system development experience (i.e. – PID) preferred
    • Professional written and verbal communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with Executive management and customers 

    Physical Requirements

    • Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person, on the telephone or virtually.
    • Dexterity of hands, fingers, and wrist to operate a computer keyboard, calculator, or assemble/manufacture intricate items.
    • Seeing to read a variety of materials.
    • Sitting or standing for extended period of time.
    • Physical agility to lift up to 50 pounds to shoulder height. Any items that weigh more than 50 pounds will require two or more people or a lifting device to move.
    • Physical agility to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.

    Pay/Salary Information

    Pay scale for this position - $155,000.00- $175,000.00 annually
