Job Summary IPEX is a leading provider of thermoplastic piping products. We are expanding our operations in Canada & the U.S. and are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the health our large, complex, multi-year initiative for SAP ERP Implementation (Connect Program). The successful individual will be responsible for managing end-to-end this critical project that will drive business improvements and strategic objectives for the IPEX Group of Companies. Reporting to the SAP Program Manager, Core SAP Solution Delivery, the Sr Project Manager – Connect Program (SAP ERP) – LOG FTP & Testing is the go-to person for all aspects of project management and activities associated with the project lifecycle. As a good senior project manager, you will be responsible for delivering a final project that is on time, on budget and meets or exceeds the expectations of the stakeholders and/or clients (internal or external). You will tie the project back to business goals to execute the company strategy. You will need to give acute attention to detail coupled with the ability to see the big picture, be resourceful, have risk-management capabilities, the ability to think critically, possess excellent communication skills, a can-do attitude, and the ability to inspire and motivate. The responsibilities of this role include projects and programs aimed at technology improvements. The design, development and launch of these technology solutions will be complex projects that will involve all functional areas of the company. Principal Responsibilities The focus for this role is to monitor and to demonstrate the health of the project of SAP FTP, Logistics (EWM/TM) and testing. The Project manager will be managing these workstreams, FTP, Logistics (EWM/TM) and testing. The project Manager will collaborate with other project managers and program managers for timely completion of related deliverables and resolve interdependency issues including data migration and testing. Project Governance – Ensure the governance process and structure is followed and all key project documentation is in place. Project Reporting - Regularly generate and communicate project status summaries with respective workstream leads and highlight issues to senior leadership and management. This includes the weekly report prep and presentation to the PMO. Scope - Monitor the above workstream scope and the formal process around scope changes. Change Management – Engage with the organizational change management lead and track all changes to scope, schedule, quality, and risk. Resources – Manage capacity planning, track vacant positions, and plans to fill, and ensure no gaps to complete the project. Quality Management – Ensure a plan and associated decision-making are in place. Risk Management – Oversee the detailed risk management register with all associated assessments, mitigations, and monitoring. Integration Management – Ensure contingencies, dependencies, and uncertainties are tracked. OTHER PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED PM Leadership Provide ownership, accountability, and oversight for assigned workstreams. Responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering cross-functional integration for assigned workstreams. Responsible for planning, executing, tracking, managing of schedule, quality, and scope. Able to handle multiple workstreams at any one time. Provide leadership and guidance to workstream/project team members. Ability to flex between wearing multiple hats as a strategic and operational leader. Cross-functional Team Management Organize and appropriately allocate resources. Obtain buy-in, resolve conflicts, and manage respective workstream stakeholders’ expectations and requirements. Building and maintaining strong internal customer relationships to ensure the delivery of quality projects in alignment with regional initiatives and requirements across the enterprise. Planning, Monitoring & Documentation Prepare project artifacts, including tracking of project deliverables documentation and quality. Develop and manage detailed project plans and timelines based on management objectives: MS Project; activities, deliverables, schedules, dependencies, and responsible parties. Define and track project metrics, resources, overdue tasks, critical milestones, issues. Use modern project management tools and best practices to ensure that assigned projects are successfully delivered on time and on budget. Coordination & Communications Manage and coordinate across functional teams consisting of business team members (internal, external, consultants, contractors, vendors). Communicate project needs, objectives, activities, and actionable deliverables. Schedule and facilitate project meetings. Reporting & Analysis Consolidate and analyze projects data to support effective decision making, on a timely basis. Regularly generate and communicate project summary, status, and highlight issues to senior leadership and management. Provide advice on interpretation of project teams’ challenges. Risk & Issue Management Monitor timing of critical milestones, roadblocks, quality control and post project review tracking and reporting. Enable resolution of issues, risks, and project roadblocks. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 15 years of experience as a Project Manager required; preferably working in a structured PMO and technical environment. Minimum 10 years direct experience managing large scale ERP projects preferably in SAP. Experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment would be an asset. Bachelors or master’s degree with a STEM focus (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math). MBA would be an asset. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required or equivalent certifications Lean Six Sigma – Black belt certification would be an asset.
