Product/Brand Management Manager, Sr. manages, develops, and implements marketing activities to maximize sales of an assigned brand. Analyzes brand performance, brand competitiveness, and product trends in the marketplace and develops marketing strategies for a brand. Being a Product/Brand Management Manager, Sr. reviews marketing metrics to determine the effectiveness and value of marketing strategies or campaigns. Leads the development, curation, and deployment of marketing content and identifies appropriate sales channels. Additionally, Product/Brand Management Manager, Sr. translates marketing initiatives into specific projects and actionable plans. Works with management and team leaders to identify and implement appropriate sales strategies or improve direction for current campaigns. Ensures product and brand initiatives are consistent and support the organization's public image. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Product/Brand Management Manager, Sr. manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager.     As a SIG Product Management (PM) Leader you will steward SIG’s Project Prioritization and Approval (SPPA) process and lead a team of
    Product Managers that are responsible for coordinating product teams (matrix organization) to execute SIG’s product plans.

    A SIG Product Manager oversees projects from the planning stage through qualification and product ramp in accordance with SIG and
    Micron’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process. As part of this leadership role, defining Product Manager scope between Boise centric
    Prototyping and New Product Introduction with Penang-centric volume manufacturing while applying continuous improvements to
    processes and responsibilities will be critical.


    Your team will be accountable for the overall product ownership driven through the product teams. Your team will be accountable for the
    overall health of the product portfolio and associated business metrics. Your team will work closely with their Product Team to ensure the SIG
    PLM process is followed. This includes schedules and phase gates to the critical process steps to maximize the confidence and successfully
    enable high volume manufacturing (HVM) of the product to the selected Contract Manufacturer (CM). Your team of PMs will lead collaborative
    relationships with several cross-functional working groups and internal Micron customers to ensure that a high degree of transparency, clarity
    and aligned execution to Micron and SIG business processes.

    Direct Responsibilities:

    • Owning the process for approving and prioritizing projects to determine the benefit and the opportunity cost of doing a project, while also working with Design to estimate the impact on other projects
    • Capture product requirements in close cooperation with the respective technical and BU (Business Unit) representatives.
    • Drive an alignment process of product development targets with Engineering, Manufacturing, and internal/external stakeholders to establish a project schedule as the single source of truth
    • Confirm availability of resources required to achieve the goals of the project and drive closure of gaps.
    • Project execution: Establish and direct the PDT. This includes regular (typical: weekly) meetings of the PDT and to track the progress of the project. Set the pace, focus, and intensity of the entire team. The PMgr serves as the conscience of the PDT: No important issues are ignored; the earlier issues are raised the better.
    • Ensure products are delivered on-time, one-time, every time
    • Providing regular updates on comprehensive SIG roadmap to ensure expectations for functionality, cost, and schedule are aligned
    • Collaboration with SIG (Engineering, Operations), TSE (KEG, TE), partners (ATCP, FECP, NVEG, DEG, PMO) will be necessary to successfully deliver technology on time, one time, every time.

    Program Management Core Responsibilities:

    • Lead the product team - leader/owner for a specific product, or group of products
    • Execute SIG’s PLM business process
    • Understand in detail and clearly communicate timelines for execution of owned products
    • Ensure that Engineering Change Notifications (ECN) and all changes affecting fit, form, function is communicated to the appropriate teams
    • Support the CM work request and Technical Queries (TQ’s)
    • Monitor and report to SIG management team on related product metrics
    • Update appropriate SIG teams ongoing improvements, issues, challenges, milestones
    • Ensure the appropriate Subject Matter Expert (SME) are tied in on the critical areas needing support
    • Facilitate conference calls and ad-hoc meetings required to support the products owned
    • Communicate product technology roadmap
    • Collaborate and approve engineering solutions
    • Escalation of issues, point of contact
    • Focus on continuous improvement in all aspects of role
    • Product transfer and ramp to HVM
    • Cost down tracking of individual products
    • Complete Return on investment (ROI) process as needed
    • Request DOC package and enter requests for quote (RFQ) with CM as needed
    • Quality, safety and compliance
    • Steward EOL and alternate source
    • Complete BOM Risk Reviews (BRR) as needed

    Qualifications:

    • Prior project planning or program management and/or facilitation experience is preferred
    • Prior people leadership is preferred
    • Prior experience in a Micron (NAND, DRAM, or products) or SIG product domain is preferred
    • Are self-aligned, outspoken and able to get things done following a structured approach.
    • Can quickly analyze data and information.
    • Communicate openly and effectively.
    • Technical enough to lead meetings with senior engineers from a variety of organizations
    • Highly collaborative, able to create highly functioning global teams
    • Capable of managing conflicting requirements, priorities, and indeed thriving on finding appropriate solutions and tradeoffs in those situations
    • Experienced in analyzing the benefits of projects in order to drive the priority decision process
    • Have 10 years of experience in semiconductor, product, or system development.
    • BS degree or equivalent engineering degree required.
