We have an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Sanford, NC team. You will plan, direct, and coordinate project activities in order to ensure project goals are accomplished within the approved scope, schedule, and budget. This person will foster a positive team environment that focuses on communication and collaboration with all other company functions - product management, marketing, operations, finance, supply chain, sales, quality, and customers.

You will:

• Kaizen events, and post-launch activities intended to support a smooth transition into production.
• Project activities may include facilitation of development or brainstorming Kaizen events, chair project meetings, update task, budget, and resource progress on weekly schedule updates, and logs issues, risks, Lessons learned, and documents contingency plans for all projects.
• Project Manager will lead with a steady focus on scope control, schedule updates, budget tracking, and risk management throughout the life of the project.
• Responsible for managing medium- to large-scale and/or moderately complex departmental and cross functional development projects.
• Collaborates with engineering, product management, operations, supply chain, finance, marketing, IT, and all other stakeholders to identify and prioritize critical project milestones and deliverables.
• Identifies and schedules, project deliverables, milestones, and daily task activities with tenacious follow-up to ensure deliverables are delivered on-time.

Key Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in Engineering, or other technical discipline, from an accredited institution (MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus).
• Project Management education: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable.
• 5 years leading cross-functional project teams without direct supervisory responsibilities.
• Highly detail oriented, organized, and organizationally agile individual preferred with innate/natural relationship building communication skills.
• Need for flexible domestic (and minimal international) travel according to business necessity as responsibilities may require project oversight with other Pentair global facilities (10% - 25% travel).
