Being a Product/Brand Management Manager, Sr. reviews marketing metrics to determine the effectiveness and value of marketing strategies or campaigns. Leads the development, curation, and deployment of marketing content and identifies appropriate sales channels. Additionally, Product/Brand Management Manager, Sr. translates marketing initiatives into specific projects and actionable plans. Works with management and team leaders to identify and implement appropriate sales strategies or improve direction for current campaigns. Ensures product and brand initiatives are consistent and support the organization's public image. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Product/Brand Management Manager, Sr. manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager.   • State Job Summary: Directs the accounting and financial operations of an agency/office/unit. Recommends and implements accounting policies and procedures in accordance with government regulations. Manages subordinate supervisors and staff.

     

    Job Responsibilities:

    Under the supervision of the Fiscal Services Manager, performs work of considerable difficulty in the administration and management of federal, state, and local funds for Aviation, Rail/State Safety Oversight, Transit, Waterways, and Administrative Programs within the Intermodal Division of the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).  The Assistant Fiscal Services Manager will assist with the preparation and management of the budget in the Intermodal Division involving multiple federal agencies and multiple state funding sources.  Assist with identifying and managing the funding needed for each of Intermodal’s program areas. Assist with managing the fiscal activities of each program, including federal apportionments, grant awards, grant balances, bond approvals, project funding, contract execution, encumbrances, project and program expenses, and fiscal year-end forecasting.  Assist with managing the Transit Trust Fund Program (TTFP) including project funding, contracts, compliance, and expense tracking.    

     

    STATE ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

    ·         Bachelor's degree in accounting AND five (5) years of professional accounting job -related experience, which includes three (3) years in a managerial or supervisory role.

    ·         OR One year of experience at the lower level Mgr 2, Accounting (FIM011) or equivalent position.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    ·         Experience reviewing and confirming funding for contracts.

    ·         Experience preparing and/or submitting Federal Financial Reports (FFRs) and federal expense reimbursement requests. 

    ·         Experience with financial reporting.

    ·         Experience with the preparation and management of annual and amended fiscal year budgets.

    ·         Experience with the management and preparation of information for state and federal audits.

    ·         Experience managing government assets and asset inventories.

    ·         Experience with the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the activities of the Fiscal Services Program.

    ·         Demonstrated knowledge of the BlackCat Grants Management software. 

    ·         Experience managing programs similar to the Transit Trust Fund Program (TTFP).

    Good Employment Standing:

    In accordance with the Interview and Selection Process (ISP), an applicant must have no active disciplinary actions to be in good employment standing.  Actions that may disqualify an applicant include letters of reprimand (active for 12 months after issuance date); suspension without pay or disciplinary demotion (active for 12 months from the effective date); Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) and Leave Restriction Plans (active until 12 months after the date of conclusion).  In addition, an employee must have an overall ePerformance rating score of three (3) or higher on their most current evaluation.  Please note that Memorandums of Concern are not considered disqualifying factors.  Human Resources may remove any employee from consideration for selection who is pending a disciplinary action; however, if the action is resolved in the employee’s favor, he or she will be allowed to compete.
