Product/Brand Management Manager leads the design and implementation of marketing activities to maximize sales of a brand. Researches customer preferences and evaluates product performance to develop effective product and brand positioning and strategies. Being a Product/Brand Management Manager coordinates workload and designates tasks or projects to a team of analysts. Partners with sales to ensure that customer targets and product messaging are effective. Additionally, Product/Brand Management Manager develops metrics used to conduct an ongoing analysis of the effectiveness and value of marketing programs. Utilizes metrics to collaborate with stakeholders to design, produce, and distribute effective marketing materials that reflect the brand and product identity. Acts as a source of knowledge for complex or unusual requests. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Product/Brand Management Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions.     Area Sales Manager – Surgical Products

    Overview of the Role

    The Surgical Products Area Sales Manager will be responsible for covering all sales functions related to our surgical products within Western PA, Eastern Ohio, and West Virginia area. This position is ideal for someone who understands the selling environment within the Operating Room to leverage existing business growth and establish new accounts.

    Who You’ll Work With

    You will report to the Regional Sales Director while working closely with other Area Sales Managers, Clinical Account Managers, and the Vice President of Sales. 

    Major Accountabilities:

    • Analyze the local market, develop sales strategies, and effectively execute plans to meet or exceed sales quotas and profit & growth objectives.
    • Identify organic growth opportunities within the existing customer base and work on a strategy to close those opportunities.
    • Secure Key Opinion Leader contacts. Develop clinical relationships that engage physicians and medical staff in support of product evaluations.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Accurately forecast sales revenues and unit volumes for rolling 30-60-90 day forecasts.
    • Conduct sales product presentations and in-service training to surgeons, nursing personnel, and medical staff within the Acute Care market. 
    • Competently demonstrate value propositions of product offerings to stakeholders.
    • Secures orders from existing and potential customers by means of on-site meetings or contact by phone/email.
    • Cover Operating Room surgical cases and evaluations.
    • Submit weekly activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and problems concerning customer/vendor relationships.
    • Records customer information in the CRM and monitors for accuracy and opportunities.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Marketing or a related field.
    • Medical Device sales experience with the ability to obtain and maintain hospital credentialing is required.
    • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a Medical Device sales position is required, surgical products preferred.
    • Ability to work independently as well as cross-functionally.
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills, presentation skills, analytical skills, communication skills, and critical thinking skills.
