The ideal RN Manager Risk Management will meet the following requirements:

• Prior acute care experience
• Bachelor's Degree required, BSN preferred
• MS in nursing or Masters degree in related field preferred
• 5 years of professional experience demonstrating a progressive leadership background

The RN Manager Risk Management is responsible for overseeing the risk management program to ensure patient safety and minimize liability. Their duties include developing and implementing policies and procedures related to risk management, conducting investigations into adverse events or potential risks, collaborating with healthcare providers to identify and address patient safety concerns, and providing education and training to staff on risk management principles.

Skills required for success in this position include effective communication skills, critical thinking skills, proficient with Root Cause Analysis methodology, and knowledge of healthcare facility operations, functions, and staffing requirements.
