In July of 1947, McCartney Produce Company began operating as a produce wholesaler. Initially, we catered to independent grocers and small restaurants and delivered only to Tennessee and Kentucky. Our drivers sold the produce directly off their trucks upon arrival at the customer's location. We did not start accepting phone sales until 1968, allowing customers to place orders in advance of delivery.
Today, McCartney Produce services a broad spectrum of customers that include single location independents to regional and national chain foodservice and retail customers from our warehouse facility in Paris, Tennessee.
