Our Jonestown Distribution Center, a 218,000 sq. ft. refrigerated facility operating 24/7, is currently seeking a Shipping Administrative Clerk to join our Shipping Department. The essential function of this position supports the shipping department in attaining the goals and objectives for the designated shift, with duties such as computer data entry and compiling reports, working with internal staff and truck drivers in order to maintain outbound schedules and overall shift objectives.

Required Shift: 6pm-3:00am Sunday-Thursday

Primary Responsibilities:

• Compares all incoming shipments waybill information to database for accuracy before receiving.
• Arrange Canadian customs clearance and delivery details for all outgoing shipments. Handles correspondence and electronic mailings.
• Delivers items to requisitioning departments.
• May maintain department data base, prepare routine reports and file shipping and receiving records.
• Completing reports during and at the end of your shift.
• Notifies manager or planning departments when major discrepancies occur.
• Prepares Bill of Ladings: Checks items shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities are correct.
• Ensures all relevant files are maintained and organized. Forwards to appropriate departments for processing.
• Communicates with others to ensure shipping and receiving related problems are resolved.
• Must maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information, as well as other company data

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be able to communicate effectively in English
• Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail
• Basic Math skills
• High School diploma or equivalent is required

Working Conditions:

• Normal office environment and warehouse environment. Warehouse include an expansive refrigerated warehouse with 50° F temperature controlled zones.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. with or without accommodation
• Position requires sitting, standing, walking and bending, squatting, and crawling on a regular basis
