Produce Clerk jobs in Iowa

JOB PURPOSE:
 Inspect and Receive product from suppliers and to ensure the quality and quantity are accurate in Des Moines Branch for all locations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Receives materials and completes paperwork and system updates in accordance with company policy and procedure.
• Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes.
• Communicate/collaborate effectively and professionally with co-workers and customers, both internal and external
• Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required.
• Checking quality, counting products and documenting paper work

 REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED preferred with 0-2 years of experience.
• Must be a self-directed individual with the ability to relate to people at all levels of the organization.
• Operate and experience with fork lift and pallet jack and must become licensed to operate warehouse equipment within the first 30 days.
• Provide prompt, courteous and excellent service to all customers, internal and external. Actively cooperate and interact with all entities of Loffredo Fresh Produce Co., Inc.
• Basic keyboarding and computer skills are required
• Individuals with strong customer service orientation who possess the ability to work in a team environment desired.
• Advanced knowledge of the procurement system and basic knowledge of company products is required.
• Must have basic persuasion and negotiation skills with the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
• General math skills and computer skills required, and knowledge of industry specific application – Visual Produce – desired.

Physical demands and Work Environment

•  Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or craw
• Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• This position is located at a warehouse facility with clerical offices: Office environment with moderate noise level
• Cold environment Area may be damp/wet Moderate noise level. Cold environment of 34-36 ºF
• Large volume production facility includes: Manual, semi-automatic and automatic equipment
• Operation of Fork lift and Pallet Jack
•  PPE

Job Type: Full-time
