Processing Equipment Operations Supervisor jobs in New Iberia, LA

Bilfinger Industrial Services Inc., known as a leading one stop shop provider for complex industrial services is seeking a Equipment & Logistics Supervisor at our Broussard, LA site location. This position requires a self-motivated individual to provide Logistics support for the Chattanooga Operations, including support management of all inbound and outbound bulk trucks and railcars.

Responsibilities:

• Support implementation of production schedule to meet customer shipments and requirements.
• Support the management of the receipt of raw materials to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.
• Assist with inventory management of raw materials and finished goods.
• Support the management of production and shipments of finished products to ensure customer satisfaction, including use of SAP, data entry and domestic and export shipments.
• Support the development of the “Zero Incident” mindset as a culture in the Chattanooga operations by becoming the recognized champion for safety and environmental performance.
• Support and continually apply ISO Quality Improvement policies and procedures.
• Serve as TDS (Transportation-Distribution Safety). Responsible person for the Site pertaining to shipments of products to customers.
• Serve as Rail Fleet Coordinator for both facilities in matters pertaining to the NS/CSX railroads and issues pertaining to inbound raw materials and outbound shipments.
• Manage rail maintenance inspections and fleet maintenance requirements.

Nature & Scope of position:

• Interaction with Operations, Safety, Ecology, HR, Logistics, Maintenance and Engineering, purchasing and Accounting Personnel.
• Interaction with the N-EDN Logistic group for production scheduling, coordinating inventory management and insuring customer requirements are fulfilled.
• Indirect support is provided by the Site Support Services, including Quality, Safety, Ecology, Human Resources, Engineering and Maintenance.
• Provide support to plant operations through logistics management of inbound and outbound shipments (truck/rail).
• Expected to think and act in collaboration with others, including other departments or teams.
• External relationships among customers include product quality control and meeting product specifications(low frequency). When required, deal with customers in a helpful and friendly manner, respect their requirements and listen to their needs. Act promptly to resolve customer requests.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited High School and have a minimum of 3 years Industrial job experience.
• Working knowledge of chemical plant logistics, bulk trucking and railroad management.
• Proficient in MS Office and MS Windows, including electronic file management.
