Processing Equipment Operations Supervisor supervises employees who operate assigned stations along a processing line.   • Job Summary

    Incumbents in this position are responsible for supervising the maintenance of all infrastructure outfalls and construction projects.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Trains, assigns, directs, schedules, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines personnel.
    • Makes field inspections in order to supervise the work of personnel.
    • Installs, maintains, repairs, cleans, and mows right of ways, outfalls, easements, access points, etc.
    • Works with state agencies for permission and required paperwork in state-maintained rights-of-ways.
    • Trains, works, and leads crews in all aspects of work assignments.
    • Monitors job site and staff to ensure compliance with safety rules and standards.
    • Develops programs for personnel to enhance equipment efficiency and maintenance schedules.
    • Operates heavy equipment, trailers, and trucks.
    • Reads maps, drawings, diagrams, blueprints, construction drawings, as built plans, and survey maps that identify easements and right-of-ways.
    • Performs preventative erosion control measures.
    • Ensures compliance with 14001 CFPUA policy.
    • Oversees the placement of matting for heavy equipment crossings and work platforms in swamps, marshes, ditches and various creek crossings, embankments, etc.
    • Communicates with the public regarding construction projects.
    • Performs inventory/property management.
    • This position is a member of the organization management team and is responsible for demonstrating and holding others accountable to the CFPUA values.
    • This position is required to work in partnership with their own department and all other CFPUA departments toward achieving organizational goals.
    • This position is responsible for creating a culture of belonging and inclusion.
    • This position works in partnership with the Human Resources department to ensure staff completes all relevant employment training.
    • This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all CFPUA policies and procedures.
    • This position works in partnership with the Human Resources department to ensure compliance with federal and state employment law.
    • Exercises a purchasing authority up to $1,000 without approval from supervisor.
    • Performs other related job duties as assigned.

    In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.

    Education, Experience, and Other Requirements

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Five (5) years of construction work or heavy equipment operation experience including managerial experience or any related work field.
    • NC Grade 2 Collections Systems Operator certification required. NC Grade 3 Collections must be obtained within 1 year of employment,
    • NC CDL Class A Driver's License with Tractor Trailer qualification or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment is required.
    • Advanced Traffic Control, CPR, and Work Zone Safety certifications or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment is required.
