Description

Under general supervision, oversees the processing of surgical instrumentation and supplies from decontamination to sterilization and distribution for all departments in the hospital.

Required qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Graduation from academic or military program in Surgical Technology, Sterile Processing. Or equivalent educ/experience
• Upon hire: National Certified Ambulatory Surgery Sterile Processing Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Or
• Upon hire: National Certified Endoscope Reprocessor - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Or
• Upon hire: National Flexible Endoscope Reprocessors - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Or
• Upon hire: National Certified Healthcare Leader - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Or
• Upon hire: National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Or
• Upon hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Or
• Upon hire: National Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Or
• Upon hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Or
• Upon hire: National Management in Sterile Processing - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
• 2 years Experience in sterile processing and/or hospital setting.
• 2 years High Level Disinfection: Experience in High-level Disinfection and/or Endoscopy setting or experience in Sterile Processing with responsibility in High-Level Disinfection.
• 2 years Leadership experience.

Preferred qualifications:

• Associate's Degree Applied Sciences.
• Coursework/Training: Training in decontamination, processing, sterilization, quality control.
• Upon hire: CHL Certification in Healthcare Leadership through IAHCSMM, or CSPM Certified Sterile Processing Management through CBSPD
