    Job Description:
    Under the general supervision of the Assistant Farm Manager, the Equipment Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of his or her designated field (s). The Equipment Operations Supervisor maintains an open line of communication with the Farm Labor Contractor (s) to ensure tasks are performed as required.

    Essential Functions:
    Responsible for supervising the proper execution of plantings, irrigation, chemical and fertilizer application;
    Responsible for communicating daily tasks to Farm Labor Contractor (FLC) Supervisor;
    Ensures that the FLC Supervisor has that which is necessary to complete a task and is responsible for informing the Assistant Farm Manager of tools and/or equipment needed;
    Communicates quality control issues to FLC Supervisor; and
    Works closely with Assistant Farm Manager to ensure proper FLC labor staffing.

    Minimum Requirements:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function and be willing to take on new roles as needed.     5 years’ experience supervising workers responsible for preparing fields, planting, cultivating and harvesting crops;
    Bilingual English/Spanish preferred;
    Ability to following policies and procedures
    Ability to document and report any issues relating to fields to Assistant Farm Manager timely
    Ability to communicate in a clear, friendly, professional and proactive manner;
    Be creative, flexible, and able to drive/guide change;
    Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;
    Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-entity, and multi-cultural environment; and
    Strong leadership, management, and people skills.

    Supervisory Responsibility:
    Yes, supervises the application crew typically serviced by FLCs

    Work Environment:
    Fields: Most of their time outdoors, supervising and overseeing various farm activities. They may work in a variety of weather conditions, which may include extreme heat, cold, rain, or snow.
    Office: They may also spend some time in an office setting, completing paperwork, scheduling tasks, and communicating with other farm staff, vendors, and customers. They may use computers and other technologies to track inventory, manage finances, and analyze data related to crop yields, and other performance metrics.
