Position Summary
Summit Body has served the commercial truck and transportation industry in the Pacific Northwest for over 35 years building and upfitting dry vans, flatbeds and refrigerated vans. In 2021, Summit acquired a Seattle-area service center, which repairs and refinishes all makes and models of medium, heavy duty, specialty, and fleet vehicles.
Our Warehouse/Inventory Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team that organizes, coordinates, and manages all inbound/outbound products and materials, accuracy of inventory counts, and quality of goods received required for the company’s operations. The Warehouse/Inventory Supervisor is responsible for directing the activities of material handling team members providing direction and leadership toward the attainment of departmental metrics. Working closely with the Purchasing department, the Warehouse/Inventory Supervisor assists with the organization of the warehouse and yard, along with inventory levels required for Summit to meet its production without interruptions, delays and last minute changes. This position is also responsible for supporting the Operations team in solving problems with sustainable solutions to ensure smooth and efficient production. This is a critical role to help production meet the growth objectives and ensure that materials never impede company progress.

Work Environment
This position is varied office/desk oriented with intermittent physical shop/yard work. Office work includes working on a computer, using the phone, and attending meetings with the operations team. This position interacts routinely with floor activities and is also exposed to factory noise, forklift traffic, and occasional exposure to wet conditions, vibration, and fumes or airborne particles. On rare occasions there may be a need to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 lbs. Stooping, bending, twisting, climbing ladders and standing for periods of time may occasionally be required.
Work Hours
The normal workweek is 40-45 hours, with the expectation that the employee will flex their work hours as required in support of the local management team. The Warehouse/Inventory Supervisor is encouraged to be visible to all employees.
