Process Research Director manages the design and implementation of manufacturing processes. Researches and develops methods to increase productivity, decrease costs, maintain quality and consistency in current products, and discover new products. Being a Process Research Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a top management. The Process Research Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Process Research Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. To provide a leadership role in university-wide undergraduate research efforts as Director of the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) as a unit of the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) and as DEO of the Undergraduate Research Experiences academic unit within University College/Office of the Provost. This role will lead the efforts to promote undergraduate involvement in research and creative projects at the University of Iowa by facilitating the mentorship of students and providing opportunities for students to communicate their research.

About the Office of Undergraduate Research
The Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) is a unit of the University of Iowa Office of the Vice President for Research. We promote undergraduate involvement in research and creative projects at the University of Iowa by facilitating the mentorship of students in research/creative work and providing platforms for students to explore research communication. We work with students, faculty, and staff from the arts, humanities, natural/physical sciences, social sciences, health and medicine, engineering, and business.
