Provides assistance related to the review of existing and design of new manufacturing equipment, processes, and plants. Being a Process Engineering Technician may suggest or implement equipment purchases, modifications or calibration changes that could result in improved productivity or reduced costs related to production. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Process Engineering Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Process Engineering Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. The Innovation and Development Division (IDD) drives the innovation strategy for the Hubs and Operations, and contributes to the Group's transformation. It is responsible for imagining, developing and incubating new solutions until they are brought to market, particularly when it comes to offers with a high technological content (including digital and IT). IDD gathers more than 3,000 employees from 70 nationalities at 60 sites.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?This position will be based in the Process Engineering & Combustion (PE&C) group of Air Liquide's Delaware Innovation Campus (DIC), directly reporting to the group manager. The PE&C group is focused on developing innovative solutions, process modeling and optimization of gas separation systems involving membranes, adsorption, cryogenics, etc. Some example processes are steam methane reforming, carbon capture, biogas upgrading, natural gas treatment, onsite gas production solutions for oxygen, nitrogen and CO2, etc. The PE&C team is also developing technologies in oxy-fuel combustion, high-pressure combustion, industrial waste heat recovery and applications in computational fluid dynamics. The team operates membrane test benches and combustion test platform at both DIC and partner sites.Duties and Responsibilities
