As a Process Engineer (also known as Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer), you'll play a key role in driving improvements and supporting sales growth. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring business processes are continuously improving in control, accuracy, efficiency, and capacity. You will assist in documenting processes, analyzing processes for improvements, recommending and implementing solutions to improve the business from the quotation process through shipping. This position includes responsibility to lead and participate in safety, environmental, production, and business process improvement.

• BS in Engineering.
• 3 -5 years manufacturing experience, preferably in high performance plastics extrusion manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in understanding the properties and behavior of various plastics and polymers, including their melting points, viscosity, and flow characteristics, to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure product quality.
• Experience working with different types of polymer resins, additives, and masterbatches to achieve desired material properties and product performance.
• Ability to develop and implement quality control processes and procedures tailored to high performance plastics manufacturing, including in-process inspections, material testing, and defect analysis.
• Proven track record in driving continuous improvement initiatives specifically aimed at optimizing high performance plastics manufacturing processes, reducing waste, and enhancing productivity.
• Experience in developing and executing preventative maintenance programs for extrusion equipment used in high performance plastics manufacturing.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations governing plastics manufacturing to ensure compliance and product conformity.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues related to polymer processing, such as material inconsistencies, machine malfunctions, and product defects.
• Excellent communication skills.
• PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment, Excel) and strong working knowledge of ERP systems is preferred.
• Good organizational skills, strong knowledge of inventory control.
• Must be willing to work overtime and occasionally weekends.
