Process Engineering Technician provides technical support to engineers to ensure production goals of the organization are met. Provides assistance related to the review of existing and design of new manufacturing equipment, processes, and plants. Being a Process Engineering Technician may suggest or implement equipment purchases, modifications or calibration changes that could result in improved productivity or reduced costs related to production. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Process Engineering Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Process Engineering Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. A project or process engineer will design, plan, and organize production systems new installations in close collaboration with Production, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance departments. A project/process engineer can have an education in any of the core engineering or engineering technology courses of study. This type of work can be specialized in a field of engineering where the project can be focused design, or more general where project management is a larger focus. Along with designing and installing production systems, project/process engineers serve as an expert resource to production and maintenance on new equipment, system installations and acts as a liaison to Production, Marketing, and R&D.
