Process Engineering Technician jobs in Cranston, RI
Process Engineering Technician provides technical support to engineers to ensure production goals of the organization are met. Provides assistance related to the review of existing and design of new manufacturing equipment, processes, and plants. Being a Process Engineering Technician may suggest or implement equipment purchases, modifications or calibration changes that could result in improved productivity or reduced costs related to production. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Process Engineering Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Process Engineering Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Job Description
- Work under the direction of a Senior Engineer.
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary teams for a wide variety of projects.
- Interface with clients and perform on-site investigation to define project requirements.
- Prepare basic engineering documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, material and energy balances, and equipment specifications.
- Perform engineering calculations in support of design objectives.
- Assist clients with commissioning and start-up activities.
- Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to coordinate procurement services and schedules.
