Scope of Responsibility
Cascade Engineering is currently hiring for the position of Process Technician Level 3. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, troubleshooting, programming, diagnosis, and repair of injection molding equipment. You will work on some of the largest plastic injection molding machines in the world! This is an opportunity to thrive in an environment where you're on your feet and active, challenge through problem-solving while working with large-scale plastic molding presses.
Location: Buursma Plant (4950 37th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512)
Shift: 6pm – 6:10am (working 3 days one week, 4 days the next and every other weekend)
Target Pay: $23.07-$31.73
General Responsibilities
Routine Tasks – Executes the setup and shut down of plastic injection molding equipment, ensuring the prompt and precise installation and removal of injection molds while adhering to quality and safety protocols. Also responsible for color changes, cleaning hoppers and moisture checks.
Root Cause Analysis – While using strong troubleshooting ability, you will relay any equipment issues or breakdowns to the maintenance team in a timely and effective manner. Working in a team environment, you will investigate molding defects like flash and short shots, recognizing opportunities for continuous improvement. Communicate any tooling issues to both the Shift Supervisor and the team's Process Engineer.
Documentation - Guarantee comprehensive documentation of all processes and execute the processing of injection molding machines in accordance with process sheet specifications.
