Responsibilities:

» Responsible for oversight of the Process Control department, which includes being responsible for selection, installation, application, and utilization of process control and optimization applications in the operating processes, and developing, implementing, and maintaining target performance for Advanced Process Control (APC) applications.

» Develop and execute plans for improving existing applications, and implementing new APC’s, implementing long-term support strategies for the Delta V programs and Alarm Management, and ensuring development and implementation of capital and non-capital improvements and applications that will generate earnings, reduce energy consumption, and improve process stability.

» Review and support Safety Instrumented System (SIS) development, installation, and maintaining existing SIS’s.

» Review all engineering projects in refinery for operability and controllability.

» Provide counsel and assistance in technical matters to engineers, technicians, operators and supervisors throughout the facility.

» Provide service, stewardship and control cost on every area of automation including managing the department budget.

Qualifications:

» Previous Experience from Whiting Refinery, Robinson Refinery, Canton Refinery, Detroit Refinery, Marathon Petroleum, ExxonMobil, Phillips 66, Noil Petroleum, or BP is Highly Desired

» Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related degree plus 10 years of job-related experience (15 years preferred)

» Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience preferred

» Strong analytical skills and ability to effectively communicate in refinery and Process Control areas

» Detailed knowledge of refining processes and economics of the refinery is required

» Valid Driver’s License required

» Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Eligibility

» The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration. » 9/80 Schedule; every other Friday off
