Job Description:
Detail-oriented, reliable, creative team player to lead/assist in process design for new and existing facilities. Analyze, calculate, and design new or revamped process equipment in refinery, chemical, and other industrial applications.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
•Lead field and technical evaluations of existing process units
•Direct and perform calculations, develop PFDs and P&IDs, provide design documentation for downstream engineering disciplines, develop equipment specifications, compile scope of work packages for construction
•Lead Client and Contractor interface, attend meetings, and provide written reports
•Provide technical support for field execution, including outage/turnaround projects
•Assist in constructability planning, proposal, and estimate development
Minimum Qualifications:
•Education: Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
•Experience: Typically 5 years to 15 years
•Licensure: P.E. Preferred
•Technical Skills: Knowledge of P&ID development, heat and material balances, hydraulic and equipment sizing calculations, relief device sizing, API standards, and ASME codes required
Knowledge of process simulation software (eg, Aspen Plus, HYSYS) preferred
•Management: Experience mentoring and leading small teams required
•Other Skills: Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
