Process Engineering Director jobs in Pennsylvania
Process Engineering Director directs and develops a team responsible for the optimization, design, and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, or plants. Drives continuous improvement in process design, cost savings, quality, and resource utilization. Being a Process Engineering Director leads engineering projects, incorporates newest technologies, resolves engineering problems, approves process designs. Requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Additionally, Process Engineering Director typically reports to top management. The Process Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Process Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Description
- Permanent position for a Process Engineer responsible for design and documentation tasks of major projects.
- Position is with a national Architecture and Engineering Services provider in Center City.
- Conduct design calculations and develop Hydraulic Models.
- Work with Project Engineers to develop P&IDs, PFDs, and BFDs and meet project goals and objectives.
- Develops equipment and instrumentation data sheets with minor supervision.
- Create CAD piping drawings and documentation.
- Provides construction support by responding to RFIs and reviews submittals.
- Interface with Client and Contractors for project input.
- BS Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience.
- PE required.
- Experience working on building design projects in A&E companies.
- Technical knowledge and applications with understanding of engineering calculations.
- Experience with hydraulic analysis.
- Must have experience with AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office.
