Requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Additionally, Process Engineering Director typically reports to top management. The Process Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Process Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.   • Reporting to the VP of the Device Care Center, the Director of Process Engineering plans, organizes, mentors, leads, controls, and coordinates the delivery of services in the areas of engineering, quality, and process development. This job provides process engineering guidance, leadership, tactical execution, and business acumen to provide leadership, technical and operations support throughout the facility. Oversight of the building facilities and implementing new process and quality engineering processes to implement our client requirements and support site business goals. The primary objectives will be to implement and improve efficient Value-Added Services.

    This is an onsite role at our Lewisville, Texas site.

    What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

    • Critical leadership team member focused on reducing costs and improving performance while keeping our clients engaged.

    • Develops, secures approval of, and administers an operating budget for the attainment of agreed-upon goals in accordance with approved plans.

    • Serves as a liaison with account management, resolving any operational, system, client, and product issues that may arise.

    • Establish, develop, maintain, and implement facilities policies, processes, procedures, and structure within the boundaries established by the senior management team and corporate policy while ensuring no contradiction in federal, state, and local operating regulatory laws, primarily as it relates to engineering operations and related safety programs.

    • Responsible for developing, implementing, documenting, and monitoring quality assurance standards, processes, and controls.

    • Mentor and develop the Process Engineering team into leadership positions by delegating areas of responsibility. Develop and build a succession and support plan for critical areas. Develop, direct, and monitor short-term and long-range engineering business plans and goals consistent with the company's overall profit and growth objectives that establish operational standards for cost control.

    • Development and maintenance of an effective organization for the area(s) of responsibility, including efficient workflow patterns, established performance standards, effective delineation of duties and responsibilities, suitable staffing levels, appropriate supervision, and systems for timely communication of pertinent information.

    • Ensure the business operates and aligns with established regulatory procedures and company quality standards. Actively support regulatory efforts with continual improvement and corrective actions as needed.

    • Responsible for the provision of services in engineering, including (but not limited to) development, installation, and support of new and existing engineering and automation processes, development and implementation of new product introduction processes, new repair/logistics process development, development of client/product implementation system support, and customer service.

    • Leveraging Lean 6 Sigma principles for developing, implementing, documenting, and monitoring ongoing repair, logistics, and quality assurance programs.

    • Collaborate with and support product development teams to assist with new product development and process modifications. Create and/or modify processes to allow for the processing and servicing of new accounts and products, as well as improve existing processes when practical and cost-effective.

    What are the requirements needed for this position?

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

    • A minimum of 7 years of leadership experience managing complex engineering, quality, electronics, product development, and test operations.

    • Ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently in a fast-paced, high-volume, and team-based environment.

    • Capable interpersonal skills with a collaborative team approach.

    • Possess advanced analytical, data management, critical thinking, organizational, research, oral, and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.

    • Ability to drive execution and meet required deadlines.

    • Ability to develop, write, and manage policies and procedures.

    • Possess strong influencing, negotiating, and relationship-building skills.

    • Ability to deliver timely and valuable feedback to others.

    • Ability to work well with people from many disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.

    • Perform effectively when changes in priorities, direction, and resources occur.

    • Problem-solving ability and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and align activities and priorities to meet organizational goals.

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

    • Thorough knowledge of business processes.

    • Open-minded and flexible, focusing on operational outcomes consistent with organizational objectives.

    • Ability to process complex time-sensitive data and information from multiple sources, make decisions based on this data and effectively communicate the required actions to a broad audience.

    • Self-motivation to independently work to complete multiple projects/tasks in a timely and accurate fashion; ability to perform detailed work under deadline pressure in a fast-paced environment; ability to multi-task and prioritize work

    • Proven organizational skills.

    • Ability to deal with ambiguity and the corresponding ability to provide sound decisions and recommendations quickly.

    • Excellent interpersonal skills - oral, written, and presentation- effectively communicating and coordinating information.

    • Able to plan and implement an Audit.

    • Ability to influence change and lead team to implement process or system changes successfully.

    • Skilled in these applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

    What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

    • Professional Engineer (PE) certification or MBA preferred.

    • Black belt Certification and knowledge of Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
