Process Engineer develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. Being a Process Engineer identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve. Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials. Additionally, Process Engineer requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Process Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. To be a Process Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.     As Process Engineer, you will drive improvements in production of Motion NEMA Motors in Columbus, Mississippi.

    This position reports to

    Engineeing Manager

    Your responsibilities

    • Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification
    • Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes while performing process simulations
    • Project management for cost justifications and time constraints
    • Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
    • Perform risk assessments by taking measurements and interpreting data in turn, providing process documentation and operating instructions
    Your background

    • Bachelors Degree in Engineering with minimum 2 years experience
    • Preferred experience includes:
    • Designing new processes in a manufacturing environment including capital approval processes
    • Proven work experience in process engineering including specification of equipment, run-off, and installation of equipment
    • Knowledge of process related standards, Health and Safety regulations (OSHA)
    • Experience in process simulations including time studies, line balancing
    • Working knowledge of process engineering software packages, CAD, AutoCad, Thingworx, Flexsim or other IIOT and simulation software
    • CNC machine tool experience, G code, machining processes, PLC(Programable Logic Controller) and machine connectivity knowledge and SQL programming language knowledge
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
