Process Engineer develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. Being a Process Engineer identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve. Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials. Additionally, Process Engineer requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Process Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. To be a Process Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Description:
1. Perform process development and technology transfer for new equipment/products into the Tampa manufacturing facility through design and execution of experimental and validation protocols, and documenting results in reports.
2. Supports and leads capital project execution by performing activities related to equipment life cycle including but not limited to Factory Acceptance Testing, commissioning, installation, and operational qualification.
3. Support and lead manufacturing support continuous improvement projects including safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
4. Participate in cross functional teams for project progression and investigations relating to the site
5. Support ongoing development of filling equipment qualification and FDA submission for solution and ointments.
6. Responsible for the execution of engineering projects for equipment, facilities/utilities, and processes at the Tampa manufacturing facility under the guidance of a senior level professional. This position will also support ongoing improvements to existing processes/products and manufacturing equipment.
