ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·       Engineer and refine processes for optimal and safe operation of production equipment, adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.

·       Provide expert engineering support for process optimization, waste reduction, and productivity improvement, alongside troubleshooting.

·       Develop and implement engineering and safety training programs for staff, focusing on enhancing knowledge of process engineering and compliance.

·       Act as a primary technical resource, offering solutions to improve process efficiency and product quality based on engineering principles.

·       Coordinate with production teams for machine setups and troubleshooting, ensuring seamless operation and adherence to quality standards.

·       Analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities and implement process enhancements to reduce waste and improve yields.

·       Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process modifications and participating in new product development from an engineering perspective.

·       Ensure a clean and safe work environment, promoting adherence to safety standards and continuous improvement in line with ISO standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Proficient in advanced engineering problem-solving and project management, with the ability to drive process optimizations and safety improvements. Skilled in developing and delivering targeted training for engineering and production teams, underpinned by strong communication skills. Demonstrated leadership and ability to work collaboratively or independently, maintaining high efficiency in fast-paced settings. Familiar with CAD software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Solid foundational math skills for engineering analysis, proficient in interpreting machine drawings, and maintaining accurate records. Capable of operating specialized equipment.

Physical Requirements: Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Working Conditions: Exposure to a normal office environment. Position may occasionally require entering a production environment, including exposure to noise, fumes, moving machinery, and varied temperatures.
