Process Engineer develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. Being a Process Engineer identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve. Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials. Additionally, Process Engineer requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. DESCRIPTION:
Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders; hold stakeholders accountable for performance metrics. Process minded with familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma, experience implementing a Six Sigma project is highly desirable. Provides analytical support to management team with respect to labor and productivity management, supply chain, revenue and growth, medical and quality management, and other initiatives as required. Build a thorough understanding of all available data sources and understands variances between these sources. Generate concise and accurate trends, reports, presentations for display and dissemination as required from above data sources. Develop, maintain and manage databases, spreadsheets, reports as needed to support the functions of the project management office and its goals. Develops and maintains a close relationship with Management in an effort to support the implementation of the various initiatives (labor, supply, medical management, etc). Work to streamline recurring reports, presentations, and any other data management process. Takes the initiative to identify gaps and develop recommendations to create efficiencies through system enhancements, process improvements, work measurements, etc. Research issues thoroughly and recommends actions using information identified through data analysis. Anticipates any upcoming situations/issues and proposes an action plan to address it. Prepares special reports as required or upon request, summarizing data from various sources. Analyze data and trends and create actionable reports with identification of improvement opportunities. Develop/ update dashboards and reports. Prepare graphic representations of results and make presentations to management and others, as needed. Develop and present provider specific quality data reports that can be effectively used to modify clinical behavior. Continuously challenges the status quo and provides out of the box solutions to improve existing department processes. Has a knack for solving complex data analytical problems. Ability to format and present complex information/data in an easy to understand way for executives. Is very detail oriented and can independently identify discrepancies between two different reports and work to resolve the issue. Can handle working on multiple projects simultaneously, comfortable with changing priorities. Has a continuous learning mentality. Participates in CHI’s Journey to Excellence as a leader. Responsible to provide guidance and oversight of patient flow and wait time at all CHI sites including schools. Responsible to achieve CHI wait time goals. Adheres to Confidentiality Policies & Procedures/HIPPA Regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required in healthcare, industrial engineering, business or related field. Three (3) years or
more years’ experience in healthcare quality, process improvement, and/or labor/supply management.
