Process Engineer develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. Being a Process Engineer identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve. Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials. Additionally, Process Engineer requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Process Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. To be a Process Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. PURPOSE:
Calumet Montana Refining has an immediate opening for a full time Senior Process Engineer. The primary role of the Senior Process Engineer is to provide strategic improvement and technical expertise for the fossil fuel refinery and renewable fuels plant. There is a strong emphasis placed on technical expertise, understanding Refining economics and mentoring skills. The Senior Process Engineer reports to the Process Engineering Lead.
