Summary: Creates and implements process conditions and procedures for the lamination and finishing departments in an effort to increase operational efficiencies and assist in the development of a comprehensive training program.  Assists with trouble-shooting equipment and process issues.

Key Accountabilities:

• Coordinates with support groups to improve lamination and finishing quality, production efficiency, waste reduction, and cost improvements.
• Develops, improves, and standardizes process conditions and procedures for lamination and finishing departments by researching and documenting best practices.
  • Monitors progress to ensure desired results are obtained.
• Coordinates trials to establish the machinability of materials and capabilities of equipment.
  • Ability to record and analyze data collected.
• Assists in developing and implementing a comprehensive training program for the lamination and finishing departments.
• Maintains monthly project report.
• Assists with new equipment purchases, installations, start-ups, and qualifications.
• Provides guidance and assistance in trouble-shooting production and process problems.
  • Develops resolutions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Works with suppliers to lower cost and develop machine and component specifications.
• Serves as an on-site resource for lamination and finishing issues.
• Participates on management teams in the development of goals and directions for the business segment.
• Participates in Industry Trade Associations to stay current on emerging technologies.
• Assists in maintaining Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification as applicable.
• Maintains work areas and related equipment in a neat and orderly manner.
• Performs other related work as required
