Process Engineer develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. Being a Process Engineer identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve. Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials. Additionally, Process Engineer requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Process Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. To be a Process Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Process Technician “A” is responsible for mold/tooling changes/setups, machine and tooling troubleshooting, maintenance repair, and setup of all tooling/mold base changes as applicable to insure a safe, clean, and efficient production environment, resulting in finished product that adheres to the quality standards of George Fischer Sloane, Inc. The Process Tech “A” is the cell leader with an understanding of all facets of the operation of molding and the capabilities to lead and train other employees in the functions of their respective positions in molding.
