Responsibilities:
1. Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing systems and processes, focusing on enhancing productivity and reducing costs. 2. Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to minimize waste and optimize resources. 3. Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence across all areas of manufacturing. 4. Utilize the Kaizen process to identify areas for improvement, develop solutions, and implement changes. 5. Analyze manufacturing process flows for the enhancement of quality, cost reduction, and throughput. 6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish production and quality control standards. 7. Conduct process simulations and troubleshooting to provide data for process improvement and problem resolution. 8. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess production performance. 9. Train and guide staff on new processes and modifications to existing processes. 10. Ensure compliance with industry safety and design standards and guidelines.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering within the manufacturing industry. 3. Proven experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies. 4. Excellent knowledge of the Kaizen process and its application in a manufacturing setting. 5. Strong technical skills, including proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite. 6. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. 7. Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead projects to successful completion. 8. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex processes and concepts. 9. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong team-building and leadership skills. 10. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production line operations, and quality control standards. 11. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously. 12. Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar would be considered an asset.
