Process Engineer develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. Being a Process Engineer identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve. Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials. Additionally, Process Engineer requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Process Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. To be a Process Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. 1. Develop process strategies that incorporate techniques for IEP’s various manufacturing processes. |
2. Develop process, process flow mapping and associated documentation to support implementation and staff training. |
3. Directly support the manufacturing team to ensure that the production processes and unit operations are run at optimum conditions. |
4. Study and recommend process improvements to increase yield, increase productivity, improve quality and reduce waste. |
5. Monitor overall process operations and develop solutions to a broad range of technical problems applying mechanical engineering and/or lean manufacturing principles, theory, and concepts. |
6. Participate in efforts involving concurrent design for manufacturability and alternative process technologies. |
7. Deploy best practice principles for process control and product yield. |
8. Review performance outcomes, investigate problems and ensure revisions to documented procedures. |
9. Establish performance measures and metrics, analyze these metrics to identify and implement performance based improvements. |
10. Documentation of processes into work instructions and procedures. |
11. Active participant in APQP & FMEA. |
12. Participate with company teams in meeting customer quality and delivery requirements. |
13. Support customers and internal design reviews to ensure compatibility of processing techniques. |
14. Maintain current knowledge on industry standards and technology. |
15. Comply with and support all department and company policies and procedures as defined in the IEP Employee Manual. |
16. Follow all International Standards that apply to IEP’s certification and QMS. |
17. Comply with and support all department and company Safety policies and procedures to include wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in areas that require it. |
18. Maintain regular and satisfactory attendance. |
19. Maintain excellent housekeeping. |
20. Perform all applicable duties as assigned. |

Education /Skills /Qualifications: |
1. Bachelor degree in Engineering (prefer Mechanical Engineering). Relevant work experience will be considered. |
2. Must read, write and communicate in English as it relates to this position and safety. |
3. Must successfully complete 90-day probationary period. |
4. 3 - 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Stamp, Plate, Mold, Assembly experience is a plus! |
5. Highly attentive to detail and sound administrative and record keeping skills. |
6. Cooperative with the ability to work individually or in a team environment. |
7. Effective listening and communication skills, both oral and written with ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions, and interact with all levels of the organization. |
8. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 9. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as tolerances, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic geometry. Ability to apply concepts of basic geometry and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). |

17. Intermediate to advanced math skills including ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, areas, ratios, circumference, and volume. |
18. Sound reasoning skills with ability to solve practical operational problems, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, and apply understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written, or diagram form. |
