Rothman Orthopaedics is looking to hire a full time Privacy & Compliance Coordinator based in Center City Philadelphia! This is a hybrid position and requires at least one day of onsite work each week.
Job Summary:
Reports to and works with the Director and Manager of Compliance as well as members of the management team to ensure compliance with the federal and state privacy and confidentiality regulations. Assists in supporting the Director of Compliance with other compliance department activity as needed.
Essential Duties:
Develops, initiates, maintains, revises and manages implementation of policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance and Privacy Programs and their related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
Responsible for helping oversee Rothman Orthopaedics privacy and compliance program. Monitors Rothman Orthopaedics operations and systems for privacy compliance.
Assist with questions regarding appropriate use and disclosure of protected health information.
Report to the Director and Manager of Compliance and the Compliance Committee on the status of privacy and compliance.
Provides education and training about actual, proposed, or pending legislation and regulations that affect operations and identifies operations obstacles to compliance, and works with other staff to identify and implement solutions.
Collaborates with various departments to develop, maintain and implement an effective compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new staff and ongoing training for all staff and physicians.
Assess potential gaps/liabilities within current Rothman Orthopaedics offices as well as prospective offices requesting to become a part of Rothman Orthopaedics.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma
1-3 years of healthcare administrative experience
Knowledge of HIPAA, Privacy and Compliance Programs
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
1-3 years of privacy and/or compliance related roles.
