Privacy Director directs and develops the organization's privacy strategy, including policies, procedures, and initiatives. Ensures all business and data management processes reflect privacy requirements and comply with laws and regulations. Being a Privacy Director incorporates regulatory changes into the organization's processes. Plans and directs privacy training programs and communications. Additionally, Privacy Director ensures that compliance monitoring, auditing, and remediation are effective. Leads research and prepares communications in response to privacy-related events or consumer, government, or media inquiries. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Privacy Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Privacy Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. As the Privacy Investigator I, play a crucial role under the Special investigation Iunit Manager. Conduct dynamic investigation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and other regulations. From addressing privacy incidents to contributing to program goals, you’ll be at the forefront. Armed with knowledge, you will identify any risks, issue corrective action plans, and contribute to special projects. In addition to, collaboration with inter-departments to ensure member needs are met while simultaneously building strong peer relationships.

Qualifications
Education & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
- In lieu of the required degree, a minimum of four (4) years of additional relevant work experience is required for this position.
- This experience is in addition to the minimum years listed in the Experience Requirements above.
- Two (2) or more years of relevant experience in a healthcare environment.
Key Qualifications
- Interpersonal and presentation skills to communicate with internal departments and external agencies. Effective communication skills; verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including, but not limited to: Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Outlook; and Access.
